Professor Paul Lee is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, GMC 6115197. Consultant Arthroplasty and Sports Surgeon, United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where his practice covers a full range of knee and hip surgery: primary and revision replacement, sports injuries, and the surgical management of complex knee and hip problems.

A broad orthopaedic foundation

Day to day, that means total and partial knee replacement, total hip replacement, revision surgery for replacements that have worn or failed, and the assessment and repair of sports injuries such as ACL tears. Patients are referred to him for complex knee problems as a second or third opinion, as well as for routine joint replacement.

Joint preservation and regenerative work

Alongside that conventional practice, Professor Lee has built a specific interest in joint preservation: looking carefully at whether a joint can be helped, protected or treated short of replacement, and being equally honest when replacement remains the right answer. This side of his work has grown directly out of his years of hands-on replacement and revision surgery, informed by seeing, first-hand, what works well and what tends to go wrong, rather than being a separate practice.
